If you some my previous post, you know that last week I have been in the ‘firefighting’ quadrant of things, so I haven’t had time to appreciate and enjoy the things we have accomplished.

Today is Sunday.  I spend last few days going through my to do list (220 tasks that are with me).  I prioritized them, setup a plan to get through them.     I have been working in the planning mode for so long, that my own prioritization system started to break down when it got into a ‘daily/immediate’ mode – so I had to adjust it.    I used a combination of GTD, Covey and Zen Plan to get it under control.   If you cannot organize yourself, its hard to organize a company.   And so, I started with me.   Its done now.    But, I digressed.

RedStores has launched!  Yep!  Check it out at http://www.redstores.com/.  We will call it a ‘soft-launch” as we are still tweaking many things, connecting payment gateways, cleaning up product descriptions, quality, etc.

The good news is that we are now in early phases of onboarding suppliers – and although HOW we do this I cannot discuss here as its something that is proprietary to us – the point is that we are now having people coming to us asking us how to put their offerings online with us.    And its early, early days.    So, it’s a good sign.  One supplier, for example, has 30,000 costume jewelery items that he carries.     Another, 1000 ‘higher end’ goods.   And this is with $0 dollars marketing towards suppliers.

The time would be great now to push a lot of traffic into the site – but unfortunately I had to pull back on spending for October – so although we have launched, we are only pushing in small traffic via low/free cost methods.

So, we will have a ‘hard launch’ in about a months time, and we will push traffic into the site.

So, happy soft launch RedStores.com.  Sorry I wasn’t there jumping up and down on the day it went live.
