Going Closed

With so many changes last few weeks, I have been itching to blog about the decisions I made, the factors that I considered, the personalities involved, etc. The problem is that I just can’t do that, since my staff reads this blog – and can in, in fairness, protect someone privacy by discussing issues that made my decisions based on a specific person.  The answer is NO. So, I know many of you have asked that I keep this blog, open and password free, however, by doing that, I limit myself in how much I can share and the internal decisions I make and how I come at them....

Changes to RedStores

(I had this post ready a week ago but it didn’t post – so here it is now) Last week was busy number crunching, and at the end I ended up having to make some hard decisions about how we will execute RedStores.com    The plan was to finance myself until funding came on board. As life plays out, funding didn’t happen, and much of that has to do with the things going on in my personal life and the demands that those things put on me.   Alex moving to Canada, was something that was not planned.   Ensuing court battles, changes of schedules...

Breakfast (and Dinner)

Last week was a big week with a lot of changes.   Closed an office I opened 6 months ago,  people let go, changes in plan and reality adjustment. I spent this week in my old-new office again – felt great.  With the hard decisions out of the way, the pressure dropped by a ton!   I can once again think and have energy to do things.   Interestingly, last week I’m up at 6AM and eager to get to work. I’m trying hard to keep the week to less than 60 hours – as I’m finding anything more that 60 hours in a week results in significant...
